BACKGROUND
Terra d'Aligi has its origins in the distant past. The Spinelli family who owns the company have a century-old experience in agriculture, particularly in the cultivation of the vine and has been producing grapes for generations. The wine-making activity was stared in 1973 by Vincenzo Spinelli. The love for the land of Abruzzo has guided us also in the choice of names. "Terra d'Aligi" was inspired by the name of the shepherd Aligi, the protagonist of one of D'Annunzio's works, "Tatone" means "grandfather" in the local dialect and "Tolos" is the ancient stone construction where shepherds used to stay during transhumance. Our aim is to produce quality wines with a distinctive personality by respecting their typicality and to successfully introduce them on the national and international market so that they may also contribute to the promotion of their territory of origin. |
